Jody Bergman's Bio
Jody Bergman is currently a Scrum Master at JD North America. In her previous life, she was a high school and middle school teacher for 15 years. She made the transition from public education to IT in 2019, and has implemented many of her teaching best practices into her current position. She loves learning, collaborating, teaching, and having fun while doing it!

Abstract:
When I decided to take the leap into the IT world, people thought I was crazy. The most tech experience I had ever had was connecting my ChromeBook to the wireless projector in my classroom. But what people didn’t know is that I had been studying Agile and Scrum, and the parallels between being a teacher and a Scrum Master were made abundantly clear to me. After 15 years of telling high school and middle school students to reach for their goals and invest in their future, it was time for me to follow my own advice. Come join us and discuss the parallels between creating a classroom culture of learning, collaboration, and growth and how to apply these principles to your Agile organization.
